Cheltenham 0-3 Watford (agg: 0-3)
Watford eased into the Worthington Cup 2nd round with a 3-0 win over the Division Three leaders Cheltenham Town.

Following a 0-0 draw at Vicarage Road in the first leg, a crowd of over 5,000 gathered at Whaddon Road in the hope of seeing an upset but the majority left disappointed.

The former Premiership side hit Cheltenham with two early goals and added a third late in the second half after shackling Cheltenham's best efforts.

The Robins' goalkeeper Steve Book did well to block a Tommy Mooney header on eight minutes only for Tommy Smith to tap in the rebound.

Six minutes later, Darren Ward headed a second from a Neil Cox corner.

Cheltenham had a good spell approaching half time but could not breach the Hornets' defence.

Book saved another Mooney header on his line after 56 minutes before Heider Helguson volleyed the third on 77 minutes after Mooney had headed back a cross by Micah Hyde.

Cheltenham Town: Book, Howarth, Freeman, Banks, Walker, Duff, Yates, Bloomer, Devaney, White, Alsop. Subs: Brough, Griffin, Higgs, Jackson, Hopkins.

Watford: Baardsen, Cox, Page, Ward, Gibbs, Hyde, Palmer, Nielsen, Smith, Helguson, Mooney. Subs: Chamberlain, Ngonge, Easton, Foley, Perpetuini.
