Birmingham crowned Football Masters Champions

The final was held at Birmingham's LG Arena

Birmingham City were crowned champions of the 2010 Football Masters Cup after victory over Tranmere Rovers in a final settled on penalties.

Tranmere, who won the competition last year, were beaten 4-2 in the shoot-out after the game ended 3-3.

Barnsley and Manchester City were knocked out in the semi-final, with Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, QPR and Sunderland losing in the last eight.

The competition was open to current or former players over the age of 35.
