Etoile Lusitana became the first African team to taste success at the Milk Cup after beating Bolton Wanderers 2-1 in the Premier Section final.

The impressive Joao Fernandez netted both goals in the first half for the Senegal side while Luke Woodland pulled one back with a 61st minute header.

Chelsea cruised to a 3-0 win over Cruz Azul in the Junior Section decider earlier on Friday.

Reece Mitchell, John Swift and Lewis Baker scored for the English team.

Mitchell's superb overhead kick put Chelsea ahead and a powerful strike from Swift made it 2-0 at half-time.

Baker sealed the win and Chelsea's first trophy success in the competition with a penalty.

Fernandez turned his defender before volleying in a wonderful opener for Etoile after just six minutes.

The striker completed an excellent move with an eight-yard finish off the post on 32 minutes.

The Africans dominated the first half but Wanderers improved after the break.

Woodland gave Bolton hope by heading in from a corner and James Caton hooked his shot over with four minutes left.
