St Paul's prolific goalscorer Craig Leitch was crowned Premiership player of the year at the annual awards at St Helier's Pomme D'or Hotel.

The other two nominations were also from the league and Channel Island champions St Paul's - Luke Watson, and last year's winner Mark Lucas.

The Championship award went to Chris Andrews of Jersey Wanderers, while Kelly Hughes picked up the ladies gong.

Andy Norman was voted Referee of the Year for the second year in a row.

For Leitch, it was the culmination of an extraordinary season for his St Paul's side.

They won the league and Upton double, and all four cup competitions, the first time this has ever been achieved in Jersey.

"I'm absolutely delighted," he told BBC Jersey. "It's third time lucky as I've been nominated twice before."

"A marvellous season with a great group of players, a good manager, and I'm really looking forward to next season."

Unsurprisingly, St Paul's won the most sponsorship money, receiving a cheque for £1,820.00.

The Gold Sportsmanship award for the best disciplinary record went to St Lawrence first team, who pocketed £1,585.00.

The reserve team gold award was won by Jersey Wanderers, who benefit to the tune of £792.50.

Jersey Football Combination sponsors Dandara also confirmed that they would continue their support for the 2010/11 season to the tune of another £20,000.
