Sheffield Wednesday sign full-back Daniel Jones

Jones failed to make a Premier League appearance for Mick McCarthy's side

Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of former Wolves left-back Daniel Jones on a three-year contract.

Jones was out of contract at Molineux and was told by boss Mick McCarthy that he would not be offered a new deal.

He failed to make an appearance for Wolves this season following their promotion to the Premier League.

The 23-year-old was on loan at Notts County and Bristol Rovers this season and has previously had spells with Oldham and Northampton Town.

Jones told Wednesday's website: "It's really important for me to play for a manager that will help my development.

"Another attraction was playing in front of big crowds at Hillsborough. I'm absolutely delighted."
