Kent football results and summary

Tony Burman
Burman has seen his side's lead cut after three recent defeats

Dover's hopes of making the Blue Square South play-offs were boosted with a 2-0 win at Bishop's Stortford.

Defender Ollie Schultz scored both goals to put them level on points with the bottom play-off place.

But Ryman League leaders Dartford suffered their third defeat in four games, losing 2-1 to Boreham Wood.

"Maybe for one or two the pressure's getting to them and it's not going quite right for us," Darts boss Tony Burman told BBC Radio Kent.

He added: "It's not quite gelling like it was earlier in the season.

"It's my job to lift them and that we'll do and I'm sure they'll come out fighting."

But the Darts remain on course for the title - they are seven points clear at the top, and results elsewhere mean they only need seven wins from their last 12 games to secure the Ryman Premier crown.

Elsewhere in the division Tonbridge beat Carshalton 2-0, Margate and Maidstone both drew but Cray lost.

There was a bit of a surprise in Ryman South as struggling Ashford beat promotion chasing Folkestone 1-0.

Mark Lovell scored on 73 minutes.

"We took the game to them," manager Steve Lovell told BBC Radio Kent.

"They're a very good defensive side and their goals against prove that.

"But I knew if we got bodies forward and created something the law of averages said we'd get one and we did."

In the same division Sittingbourne, Chatham and Whitstable all lost.

Herne Bay ended Faversham's chances of becoming the first team to do the Kent league treble for 13 years, as they beat them in the semi-final of the Kent League Cup.

In the Kent League there were wins for Beckenham, Holmesdale and Sevenoaks.
