Manager Craig Levein has welcomed Lee McCulloch's decision to make himself available for Scotland again.

The 31-year-old midfielder called time on his international career in September 2008 in order to focus on playing for Rangers.

The former Motherwell and Wigan player has been capped 15 times.

"He's a really good player and is doing very well for Rangers this season," said Levein. "So Lee's decision is naturally of interest to me."

Levein, who replaced the sacked George Burley in December, will name his first squad next Monday.

The Czech Republic, who are in Scotland's group for Euro 2012 qualifying, visit Hampden for a friendly on 3 March.

McCulloch, in his third season with Rangers, has been enjoying a fine season at Ibrox, having scored five goals from a deep-lying midfield role.
