Ashford Town boss Steve Lovell has set his sights on securing survival in Ryman League One South.
Town have endured a stop-start season owing to pitch problems at their Homelands Ground and went without a home game for more than three months.
"I would be happy to finish third from bottom and out of the relegation zone," Lovell told BBC Radio Kent.
"That would enable us to stay in the league and rebuild for next season when we can start afresh."
Ashford are currently unbeaten in four games but must play 21 fixtures in 12 weeks after a series of postponements.
They face Fleet Town on Wednesday.
Lovell said: "Ideally I would like to put out a settled side but with so many games coming up that won't happen."
