Blues swoop for Eaden
Nicky Eaden
Nicky Eaden led Tykes to play-offs last season
Barnsley captain Nicky Eaden, who skippered them to the First Division play-off final last season, has joined Birmingham City on a Bosman free transfer.

Eaden, 27, is a right wing-back but mostly played on the right wing during his time at Oakwell.

"They were keen to keep him and Bolton, Huddersfield and others were after him too, so I'm delighted he'll sign for us," said Blues boss Trevor Francis.

"He's a versatile player and that was one of the reasons I brought him here."
