Beckham's England - Wembley milestone
28 March 2009
Beckham is again on the bench, this time for a friendly against Slovakia ahead of a key World Cup qualifier against Ukraine.
But he is eventually handed his 109th cap when Fabio Capello decides to introduce him at half-time in the game at Wembley.
The midfielder becomes England's most-capped outfield players in the process, marking his achievement by setting up Wayne Rooney for the first of his two goals. But he still has some way to go to match and possibly pass goalkeeper Peter Shilton, who amassed 125 caps.
