Dundee United net Caddis on loan

Paul Caddis will play for Dundee United until the end of the season after Celtic allowed him to leave on loan.

The 20-year-old full-back has Champions League experience, having played against Barcelona last season.

However, he has yet to start a Scottish Premier League match for Gordon Strachan's side despite featuring regularly in the squad.

Caddis has represented Scotland three times at under-21 level and has also captained the side.

United manager Craig Levein has also secured the services of his former Leicester City player James Wesolowski until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old midfielder has joined on a loan deal and will compete for a place in the midfield now that Scott Robertson looks likely to miss the rest of the season with a severe abdominal injury.

At the start of the 2005/06 season, Wesolowski broke his leg in a challenge with Celtic defender Bobo Balde in a friendly match, and then broke the same leg in February 2006 in a match with Brighton.
