Buckland regain SWPL second spot

Football

Buckland Athletic broke their run of three consecutive defeats with a 2-1 win over Torpoint Athletic at Homers Heath on Tuesday night.

The result means Buckland regain second position by a point from Ivybridge Town, although the Bridgers have two games in hand.

Gavin Hammon got a goal in either half to seal the win for Athletic.

Ten-man Torpoint, who had Vergil Igalawuye sent off, did get a goal back late on from Chris Maskell.
