Playing at altitude in Bolivia
This year, Maradona has been busier than ever...
Where: Hernando Siles Stadium, La Paz.
When: 17 March, 2008.
Who: Bolivian president Evo Morales, top left. Fifa president Sepp Blatter introduced rules making it difficult for Bolivia to play games in La Paz, because of the altitude. Maradona responded by turning a charity match into a protest against Fifa.
What he said: "We have shown it is possible to play here. All of us have to play where we were born, my brothers and sisters. Not even God can ban that... much less Blatter."
