Foxes face Pools in JP Trophy bow

Leicester City will start their first campaign in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at Hartlepool.

The Foxes, playing in English football's third tier for the first time in their history, make their debut in the competition's Northern section.

Aldershot, back in the Football League after a 16-year absence, entertain Swindon, while Exeter host Shrewsbury and Leeds receive Bradford.

Trophy holders MK Dons are one of 16 teams handed a first-round bye.
