Peninsula League ready to start

The South West Peninsula League's new season begins on Friday with Buckland Athletic hosting Dartmouth.

On Saturday champions Bodmin Town begin their campaign at home to Holsworthy, while Charity Bowl winners Saltash United host new boys Wadebridge Town.

Plymouth Parkway's new boss Dave Leonard begins his time at the club with a trip to Falmouth Town.

It will Leonard's first trip with a side to Cornwall since resigning as Truro City manager in April.

Cullompton Rangers v Tavistock
Falmouth Town v Plymouth Parkway

Torpoint Athletic v Witheridge
Falmouth were fourth in the Premier League last season, while Parkway finished third in the table.

With no sides getting relegated last season Cullompton Rangers will hope to put last term's last-place finish behind them as they host Tavistock in their opening match.

Clyst Rovers, who would also have gone down last season had there been relegation, open up with a home match against Launceston.

The other newly promoted side, Division One East champions Newton Abbot, host Cornish side St Blazey in their first-ever match at Premier League level.

Their big rivals, Newton Abbot Spurs, cross the Tamar Bridge to face Liskeard Athletic, while Liskeard's neighbours Torpoint Athletic host Witheridge.
