Euro 2008 blog feeds

The Euro 2008 blog uses some extra social networking tools to bring it to life.

TWITTER

BBC Sport journalist Paul Fletcher is blogging his way around Austria and Switzerland. You can read all of his posts here:

In addition, the short status reports which appear in Fletch's speech bubble on the right-hand side of the blog come from Twitter, a tool which allows users to keep their friends updated with text message-style reports on where they are and what they are doing.

This style of updates has been described as "micro-blogging". Jaiku offers a similar service and status updates are also available on Facebook.

If you would like to see all of Fletch's Twitter chat visit these Twitter pages:

Just click on "RSS feed" on these pages to add their feeds to your own website or webpage.

FLICKR

The photographs on the right-hand side of the blog are coming from Flickr, which is a photo-hosting website which made a name for itself by allowing users to see other users' photographs and by the use of tagging. Other photo sharing sites include Fotki, Picassa, Photobucket and Photobox.

You can see all the photos taken by our roving blogger Fletch here:

Better still, why not get involved yourself? BBC Sport has set up a Flickr group and invites you all to send in your Euro 2008 related photos, be they taken in Austria, Switzerland or down your local pub.
