Port Vale have made 18-year-old Birmingham City defender Krystian Pearce their eighth signing of the January transfer window.
The England Under-19 centre-half will join on loan in time for Saturday's trip to Bristol Rovers.
Meanwhile, the futures of Luke Rodgers and Paul Edwards remain in the balance.
Manager Lee Sinnott told BBC Radio Stoke: "I've had a couple of tentative enquiries, nothing more. The players are being kept informed."
Pearce would be making his second loan move of the season after two months with League Two side Notts County which ended in mid-January - just a week after his 18th birthday.
