Beckham's England - Croatia calamity
David Beckham contemplates the defeat to Croatia

England's friendly against Germany on 22 August 2007 results in another landmark for Beckham. He becomes the first player to represent England while with a non-European club - LA Galaxy.

He goes on to earn his 99th cap in a vital Euro 2008 qualifier against Croatia, setting up Peter Crouch to level at 2-2.

But England eventually lose 3-2 and fail to qualify for the finals, leaving Beckham agonisingly one short of the 100 landmark.
