Taylor cautious of Capello reign
Graham Taylor
Ex Villa and Wolves boss Taylor thinks Capello has to adapt quickly
Former England boss Graham Taylor thinks new coach Fabio Capello has much to prove despite his impressive record at club level.

Capello took office on Monday and has his first game in charge against Switzerland at Wembley next month.

Taylor told BBC WM: "He has dealt with international players at club level but he has no international record at all.

"International football in England isn't going to change just because an Italian's doing it. He has to adapt."

The former Aston Villa and Wolves manager also questioned the interest generated by Capello's announcement that he will embark on an intensive tour of Premier League clubs.

"They're saying 'look at what Capello's going to do! He's going round every training ground as soon as he can.'"

"I was going round every training ground in 1991 but I didn't have a media bandwagon following me."

Nearly 70,000 tickets have already been sold for Capello's first game in charge against the Swiss on 6 February.
