Manchester United director Sir Bobby Charlton says the club will let fans decide on a tribute to George Best.
Best died, aged 59, at the Cromwell Hospital in west London on Friday.
And Charlton told BBC Radio Five Live's Sportsweek programme: "We will talk about it, but I would imagine we will let the fans have their say.
"Whatever is there for people to come and look at about George Best, will be something that justifies all his hard work and all the great talent."
Legendary former manager Sir Matt Busby is honoured with a statue outside Old Trafford, and Charlton added the United board will be considering how to deliver a fitting memorial for Best.
He said: "It will be thought about very, very carefully, but we hope to do him justice."
