The memorial service for former Nottingham Forest and Derby boss Brian Clough has been switched to Pride Park Stadium from Derby Cathedral.
Clough's wife Barbara asked for the service to be moved due to the overwhelming demand for tickets.
Canon Nicholas Henshall said: "This is a wonderful comment about Brian's achievement in the region."
The service on 21 October, which starts at 1930 BST, will remember the life of Clough, who died of cancer aged 69.
Derby County chairman John Sleightholme added: "It is an honour for the club to be invited to host this memorial service.
"We are working with the staff of the Cathedral and Brian's family to ensure the service is a fitting tribute to a man whose footballing achievements were truly remarkable."
Clough's service will be conducted by clergy of the Derby Cathedral.
