Southend 4-0 QPR
Southend cruised into the southern area final of the LDV Vans Trophy with a win against a full-strength QPR side.

Leon Constantine opened the scoring when he turned in the area to fire in a left-wing cross from Mark Gower.

Gower then set up three goals in the space of 12 minutes after the break, first releasing Steve Clark who drilled in a low shot.

Drewe Broughton added another with a looping header and claimed his second goal with a simple tap-in.

Southend: Flahavan, Jupp, Cort, Warren, Stuart, Steven Clark, Maher, Smith, Gower, Constantine, Broughton. Subs: Emberson, McSweeney, Wilson, Kightly, Jenkins.

QPR: Day, Forbes, Carlisle, Shittu, Padula, Marney, Bircham, Rose, Rowlands, Gallen, Furlong. Subs: Culkin, Palmer, Sabin, Oli.

Referee: R Beeby (Northamptonshire).
