Blackburn have completed the signing of Aston Villa keeper Peter Enckelman.
Enckelman's move is now permanent
Villa accepted a second, improved offer from their Premiership rivals for the 26-year-old Finn.
Enckelman, who has been on loan at Ewood Park after arriving as back up to Brad Friedel in November, has signed a three-and-a-half year deal.
The two clubs have agreed an initial fee of £150,000 with more to follow based on first team appearances and Rovers' league position.
Blackburn manager Graeme Souness reiterated his delight at the move, which transforms Enckelman's extended loan into a permanent deal.
He said: "Peter is a great signing for us. We are delighted to have him on board, he will push the other goalkeepers - which can only be good."
The completion of the deal came too late for the goalkeeper to be involved in the Premiership game against Wolves on Wednesday.
The Finland international joined Villa from his local side TPS Turku in February 1999 and made 51 appearances for the club.
