Aberdeen 1-5 Liverpool
Kewell opened his Liverpool account
Harry Kewell capped a good outing with his first goal for Liverpool as the Premiership club thrashed Scottish side Aberdeen on Tuesday.
The Australian scored early in the second half as Gerard Houllier, who made 10 half-time substitutions, saw his side bounce back from going a goal behind after 60 seconds.
The Reds were rocked when David Zdrilic slotted past Chris Kirkland for his first goal for the Dons.
But Liverpool equalised when El Hadji Diouf and Milan Baros combined down the left to set up Danny Murphy.
Emile Heskey continued his fine pre-season form five minutes into the second half when he smashed home after being put through by Kewell.
And the former Leeds winger coolly added his name to the scoresheet after taking Michael Owen's pass in his stride.
Neil Mellor, sent off against Galatasaray on Sunday, then went some way towards making amends by scoring Liverpool's final two goals.
