1445: GOAL: Fernando Morientes has impressed since coming on as a substitute and further stakes his claim for a place in the Real team this coming season with another tidy finish.

1434: GOAL: Fernando Morientes doubles Real's lead. Roberto Carlos has a fierce shot saved and Morientes reacts quickest to the parry.

1432: As Real Madrid make more substitutions David Beckham makes way after playing for 72 minutes. It has been a solid debut, with Beckham catching the eye with several crossfield passes.

1430: David Beckham's through ball finds substitute Fernando Morientes, but his limp shot is easily saved.

1425: Raul forces a good save after latching onto a cut-back from substitute Santiago Solari. The start of the move was a superb raking pass from David Beckham.

1413: Ronaldo is through on goal after a superb ball from Beckham, but the Brazilian shoots miserably wide from a tight angle.

1403: The second half starts. China Dragons have made several substitutions, while Real Madrid are unchanged.

1347: The half-time whistle goes with Real holding a slender advantage. Beckham has made a competent if unspectacular start to his Real career.

1327: David Beckham is caught in possession and appeals for a foul, which is not given. He tries to regain the ball, but almost concedes a foul with an ungainly lunge.

1322: China Dragons break forward and cause chaos in the Real penalty area, but Iker Casillas eventually clears the danger.

1320: Roberto Carlos is fouled and Real win a free-kick in a dangerous area. David Beckham strikes the ball over the wall and the China Dragons goalkeeper makes a spectacular save.

1317: David Beckham tries to pick out Ronaldo with one of his trademark raking crossfield passes. The England skipper has had few opportunities to showcase his passing skills so far.

1313: Real almost open the scoring. Roberto Carlos strikes the post with a thunderous left-foot strike from the edge of the area. The rebound falls to Ronaldo, but the Brazilian fails to hit the target.

1310: David Beckham is playing on the right, with Salgado playing at right-back as the two new team-mates try to form the sort of partnership the England skipper enjoyed with Gary Neville at Manchester United.

1305: Real dominate the opening phase of the match and create a good chance for Ronaldo, who shoots over the crossbar from 10 yards.

1300: The game starts and Beckham is immediately involved in the action, exchanging passes with Zinedine Zidane.

1255 BST: Both teams enter the stadium to roars of applause from the adoring supporters. Beckham lines up in Real colours for the first time.

It is Beckham's first game since he broke his wrist playing for England on 22 May in Durban, South Africa.
