Digby to end career
Fraser Digby
Digby would like to go into coaching
Veteran goalkeeper Fraser Digby is set to retire after being released by QPR.

Digby's Loftus Road contract expired this week and he has not been offered a new deal.

The 35-year-old started his career at Manchester United but made his name with Swindon before spells at Crystal Palace and Huddersfield.

Digby said: "The way football is at the moment, opportunities are going to be few and far between.

"I'd like to stay in football, but don't want to be travelling the country earning a pittance.

"I've been speaking to people outside the game to see what my options are and am also hoping to do some coaching.

"The problem is that to obtain full goalkeeping coaching qualifications, you have to go through all the stuff for outfield players and I don't really want to do that.

"What I'd like to do is coach goalkeepers - a bit like Tony Roberts does at QPR - and am also keen to work with youngsters."
