Two goals in the space of one minute from Rovers Lewis Hogg and Nathan Ellington meant the Daggers had it all to do.

But Ellington killed off the game in the 65th-minute when he completed his brace at the Memorial Stadium.

Ken Charlery grabbed a consolation for the visitors in the 80th minute.

But just one minute later Sergio Ommel struck again for the Pirates to put the result beyond doubt.

Bristol Rovers: Howie, Thomson, Foran, Trought, Hogg, Plummer, Mauge, Astafjevs, Challis, Cameron, Ellington. Subs: Clarke, Jones, Ommel, Wilson, Gall.

Dag & Red: Gothard, Rooney, Goodwin, Heffer, Broom, Hill, Jones, McGavin, Shipp, McDougald, Charlery. Subs: Roberts, Janney, Terry, Hayzelden, Forbes.

Referee: M Cooper (Walsall).
