Cambridge 1-1 Cheltenham
Cheltenham were eliminated from the LDV Vans Trophy in a late night shoot-out.
It was well past 10.15pm when Martin Devaney's spot kick hit the post to send United through. Armand One had put Cambridge in front after 19 minutes, but Cheltenham deserved Naylor's 63rd minute equaliser. Naylor later hit a post, but neither side could find a golden goal to prevent penalties deciding the tie.
Cambridge Utd: Perez, Warner, Duncan, Angus, Ashbee, Wanless, Alcide, Tudor, Youngs, One, Kitson.
Cheltenham: Book, Mike Duff, Victory, Banks, Howarth, Yates,
Milton, Williams, Howells, Alsop, Naylor. Referee: R Olivier (Sutton Coldfield).
