Kanoute may miss start of season
Frederic Kanoute
Kanoute is a "quick healer"
Frederic Kanoute could miss West Ham's Premiership opener against Liverpool on 18 August because of injury.

The 23-year-old French striker damaged a hamstring during Monday's friendly at Stevenage and could be out for three weeks.

Club doctor Ges Steinbergs told the club's website: "It is something that could take two to three weeks to clear up, possibly more depending on how it settles down.

"Fredi has been a quick healer in the past. It is difficult to gauge at the early stages."
