Camacho's Spanish fury
Spain coach Jose Antonio Camacho
Camacho blamed school-boy errors for defeat
Spanish coach Jose Antonio Camacho has promised a shake-up of the national team following their 3-0 defeat by new-look England.

Camacho criticised his players' inaction and lack of concentration during the match in which he said Spain "played ball while England played football".

He highlighted school-boy errors in defence and at set pieces as the reasons for Spain's undoing.

The game has taught us a lot. We have seen that we are not at the same level as teams like Holland, England or Germany
  Camacho

And the former Real Madrid defender said that there was much work to be done if Spain are to compete with the Dutch and English national sides.

"I don't know if playing football and playing ball go hand in hand," he said.

"Because to play football you need to have concentration which we just don't have at the moment.

"The game has taught us a lot. We have seen that we are not at the same level as teams like Holland, England or Germany.

"We've seen that we've got a lot to change. We've got to do more to win these kind of games and a lot more not to lose them."

Slack defending

Camacho was angered by the two goals conceded at corners and at how easily his team's defence was penetrated by England's counter attacks.

"We dominated the game. There's no doubt about that," he said.

"We put them on the back foot and we were maybe lacking a bit of depth. Then came the corners and the mistakes.

What I want is for my team to play football, but to play it properly
  Camacho

"This is where you could see we were playing ball and England were playing football.

"I think when it's up to you to defend, you have to defend and then wait for your chance (to attack).

"This is what England did and the result goes to show it."

But the Spanish refused to be totally disheartened by his team's performance.

"I am still enthusiastic. What would worry me if this happened in a World Cup.

"What I want is for my team to play football, but to play it properly."
