Baiano banned after a positive drugs test
Brazilian international Junior Baiano has been banned for four months by a Rio de Janeiro sports tribunal after failing a drugs test.

The Vasco da Gama defender tested positive for benzoileconine, a substance produced by the body after cocaine has been taken.

The test was taken on 18 January after his Brazilian club had won a championship final against Sao Caetano.

Two weeks later, he was suspended for a month by the Brazilian Football Federation.

Baiano, who played in the 1998 World Cup final defeat by France, has continually protested his innocence, saying his drink must have been spiked.
