Go behind the scenes with top British fencer Laurence Halsted as he fights the Russians in London.
Halsted takes the BBC Sport cameras into the luxurious surrounds of the Lansdowne Club ahead of the fight, and introduces you to some of Britain and Russia's leading fencers as they prepare for the clash.
Then, sit with the British team as the fight begins. Will Halsted and star name Richard Kruse be first to the magic 45 points?
FENCING'S EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS, 17-22 JULY 2010
Halsted and Kruse are joined by Ed Jefferies and Rhys Melia in the men's foil event at fencing's European Championships, which take place in Leipzig, Germany, between 17-22 July.
There are three types of fencing - foil, sabre and epee - in which different weapons and target areas are used.
Another name to look out for on the British team is women's sabre specialist Chrystall Nicoll, who has had an excellent 2010 season and is fast becoming a rising star in the sport.
From Leipzig, the top Britons will go on to compete in the World Championships in Paris in November.
You can follow the team's progress on the
official website of the European Championships
