Tom Daley is one of six Olympians in an 11-strong Great Britain diving team for the World Championships in Rome. The 15-year-old, who was seventh in the Olympic final in Beijing last year, won gold in the men's 10m platform at the Fina Diving Grand Prix in May. It is the first major international event for the squad since Beijing. As well as the Olympic diving programme of 3m and 10m individual and springboard, the squad will also bid for the 1m individual springboard. The diving events open the Championships on 17 July and they culminate with the swimming events from 26 July to 2 August. Synchronised competitions take place from 18-25 July, with the Open Water competition from 19-25 July.
