Teenager Tom Daley produced a perfect dive as he clinched his first gold medal of 2009 in the men's 10m platform in Fort Lauderdale.
Daley, 14, scored a perfect 10 from all seven judges on his penultimate dive to finish on 554.90 points, his highest ever score in the event.
Last year's World Cup Champion Sascha Klein took silver, while Olympic silver medallist Luxin Zhou finished third.
Daley won silver in the synchronised event with Max Brick on Friday.
The 2008 European Champion dropped marks on his second dive, but impressed the judges with his back 3 1/2 Somersault tuck, earning full marks across the board.
