England's Danielle Wyatt will benefit from India trip

Staffordshire and England international Danielle Wyatt believes attending a training camp in India will be good preparation for the next World Cup.

England are the current 50-over women's world champions and will look to defend their trophy in India in 2013.

"It's a chance to get experience of the conditions," the 19-year-old all-rounder told BBC Radio Stoke.

"We'll be doing plenty of batting against spin and lots of bowling, so it will be tough but enjoyable."

Fourteen players, including wicket-keeper Sarah Taylor and former Ashes winner Arran Brindle, will attend the training camp in Puna from 4-14 April.

Wyatt has experience of conditions in the sub-continent after touring India with England early in 2010.

"I love India, it's been my favourite place," she added. "I love the food and the people are so passionate about cricket it's unreal."

The Stoke-on-Trent teenager was also part of the squad that toured Australia in the winter and played all five Twenty20 internationals in the series, which England won 4-1.

"I went out there thinking I wasn't going to play in any games and I played in every game apart from the Ashes, which I was disappointed about", said Wyatt.

"For our three main players to get injured and sent home was a big loss for us, but that gave me and a couple of the other younger girls a big opportunity to perform against the world champions.

"I can't believe we beat them 4-1 in the T20s, that was a huge achievement for us all.

"I really enjoyed it and hopefully I'll be involved in the Ashes next time around."
