Gunn reported for illegal action

Jenny Gunn in action for England

England women's fast bowler Jenny Gunn has been reported for a suspect bowling action following England's 100-run World Cup win over Sri Lanka on Sunday.

The umpires raised concerns about Gunn's short-pitched deliveries after recording 0-16 from eight overs.

The 22-year-old was suspended from Australian State cricket after failing tests under their doubtful bowling action procedures in February.

But Gunn is free to bowl for England in the remainder of the Women's World Cup.

Sri Lanka off-spinner Rose Fernando was also reported for an illegal action in the same match.

Under International Cricket Council regulations, the England and Wales Cricket Board will instigate an assessment of Gunn's action and undertake any remedial work required.

Gunn has played six Tests, 63 one-day internationals and 10 Twenty20 matches for England.
