England women to take on Windies

England's women are to play two one-day internationals against West Indies at Loughborough University in July.

The matches, on 11-12 July, will be the first between the two sides since 1993.

"We're really pleased to be able to play these two additional international matches," said Clare Connor, national head of women's cricket.

"With their integration into the West Indies Cricket Board now complete and with Sherwin Campbell as head coach, we are keen to see how they've developed."

West Indies have qualified for next year's ICC Women's World Cup, which will be staged in Australia and the ICC Women's World Twenty20 in England which follows.

"These two ODIs will therefore act as good preparation in case we come up against them at those global tournament," Connor added.

The games against West Indies will launch a busy summer for England's women, which also features home series against South Africa and India.
