Sorell to coach Australia women
Mark Sorell has been appointed the new coach of the Australian women's cricket team, taking over from Stephen Jenkin.

Jenkin will finish his stint early next month after four years in the role.

Sorell's first assignment is to lead the Aussie women on their tour of Ireland and England, including the 2005 women's Ashes series, from July.

He said: "This is a tremendous opportunity for me, and I am really looking forward to the chance to work with the Australian women's team."
