Test stars join BBC Sport Online
Justin Langer, Craig White, Graham Gooch and Allan Border will write for BBC Sport Online
BBC Sport Online's Ashes coverage will be boosted by an impressive array of star columnists from the past and the present.

England's Craig White and Australia's Justin Langer will be bringing BBC Sport Online fans news from inside the team camps in a series of exclusive articles.

Their insights should prove invaluable for cricket lovers this summer as England and Australia gear up for one of the most eagerly-anticipated Ashes series ever.

White and Langer's columns will be supplemented by more offerings from two of the most respected figures in the history of the game.

Having four players of this stature writing for us will lend real weight and depth to our Ashes website
  BBC Sport Online's John Mathews
Former Ashes skippers Graham Gooch and Allan Border - who locked horns in many a Test against each other - will be on opposite sides of the fence again.

Expert opinions

They will be analysing the form of both teams ahead of all the Ashes Tests, as well as looking back on the matches to give their expert opinions.

Gooch played 118 Test matches and no-one has scored more than his 8,900 runs for England.

Border's record is even more impressive. In 156 Tests he scored 11,174 runs - no-one has scored more runs in the history of Test cricket.

They know each other well, having spent several successful seasons together at Essex, and they know the Ashes well having played in 89 England v Australia Tests between them.

BBC Sport Online special events editor John Mathews said: "Having four players of this stature writing for us will lend real weight and depth to our Ashes website.

"I'm delighted that they have signed up with us and I look forward to reading their columns."
