Kathryn Leng
Like Matthew Hoggard, Leng was born in Pudsey and made history in April 1999. When playing for Yorkshire Bank against Bradford and Bingley she became the first woman to play first team cricket in the Bradford League. Made a fine 144 against New Zealand in Scarborough in the 1996 Test, but in more recent times she has found it harder to find a regular slot in the side. In theory her all-round attributes should stand her in good stead, but has never taken more than three wickets in an innings in nine Tests to date. |
