County: Lancashire
England debut: v South Africa, Chelmsford 2000 (One-day international)

Right hand batsman, right arm medium pace bowler

Thompson's potential was clear when she scored 111 for Lancashire as a 17-year-old in the 1999 County Championships and also helped England A win the European title.

Played in five games at last winter's World Cup and carried her bat to make 44 not out in an eight-wicket win over Ireland.
