Bangladesh wicket-keeper Khaled Mashud is to miss the forthcoming one-day series in Zimbabwe with a thumb injury.
Mushfiqur Rahim, 18, will take his place in the 15-man squad to play four game in Harare from 4 February.
Uncapped 17-year-old Tamim Iqbal, who recently scored 188 in a domestic match, is expected to bat at three through the series.
Bangladesh lost 3-2 on their last visit to Zimbabwe last August but won a home series 5-0 in December.
Mashud was fined recently for criticising the cricket board after he was dropped in favour of Rahim at the end of that series.
