Final day as it happened
Pakistan beat India by nine wickets

Pakistan cruised to a nine-wicket victory over India on day four of the second Test, to level the series.

With just 40 needed, the hosts lost Imran Farhat for nine but Taufeeq Umar and Yasir Hameed finished the job.

Danish Kaneria claimed three wickets in five balls, including a dubious stumping of Anil Kumble for a duck, to bowl India out for 241.

But Shoaib Akhtar did the early damage, dismissing Virender Sehwag for 90 and Irfan Pathan in the same over.

Latest action (all times BST):

0906: Taufeeq pushes through third man and it beats the fielder for the winning four, to the delight of a small crowd.

Pakistan 15-1 (Farhat 9)

0846: Taufeeq cuts a wider one from Pathan for four.

0841: A small crowd in Lahore has become animated as Balaji begins the session bowling to Farhat. Both batsmen take a couple.

India 241 all out (Balaji 0)

0745: The TV umpire is called in to judge whether Kumble has avoided a stumping off Kaneria. Replays are difficult but he is given out, with his back foot off the ground and his front heal perhaps just not in contact behind the line. India 241-9 (Kumble 0)

0738: Agarkar pushes through the air just out of reach of a diving Kaneria for four through mid-off then hoicks a wrong 'un effortlessly over mid-on for a one-bounce boundary.

India 235-8 (Agarkar 36)

0724: Sami returns after a single over from Kaneria. Patel cuts from close to his body over the slip fielders for four.

0716: Kaneria joins the attack, bowling his looping leg-spin. Agarkar and Patel take two each to bring up the 50 partnership. Kaneria has a good appeal against Agarkar turned down.

0711: As Inzamam leaves the field, apparently with an injury, Agarkar drives Gul through the covers with a flourish to ensure Pakistan will have to bat again.

0637: Pathan mis-times a hook at Sami and is hit sharply on the box, crumpling in pain.

0632: New batsman Pathan lasts just four balls before gloving a shorter one from Shoaib to Umar, running wider from second slip to take a ballooning ball. India 160-7 (Pathan 0)

0628: Shoaib takes the key wicket as Sehwag nicks a wide delivery that swings in, wicket-keeper Akmal completing the dismissal. India 160-6 (Sehwag 90)
