Andrew Flintoff

DOB: 6.12.77
County: Lancashire
Test debut: v South Africa, Trent Bridge 1998
One-day international debut: v Pakistan, Sharjah 1999

Right hand batsman, right arm fast medium bowler

Perhaps the most powerfull ball-striker in the English game, Flintoff has shown only flashes of brilliance on the international stage.

But, as a late addition to the party, he impressed greatly opening the bowling during the Test series in India, and showed new-found economy in the one-day series.

Groomed as a lower order finisher with the bat, Flintoff is gradually adjusting to the role, as demonstrated by his 40 in the final ODI against India in Bombay.

His most memorable moment in international cricket, though, must still be a superb 84 off 60 balls against Pakistan in Karachi in late 2000.
