Andrew Caddick
Once seen as something of a loner in the dressing room, Caddick has flourished under the Nasser Hussain-Duncan Fletcher regime. He agreed to play in the one-day series in India after opting out of the pre-Christmas Test tour for safety reasons. After just two matches in India, he will be especially be looking forward to the second leg of the trip in his native New Zealand. Caddick's one-day international record is modest in wicket-taking terms but, at 6ft 5ins tall, he is capable of disconcerting lift, especially effective in keeping batsmen honest as they look to up the run rate. And his Test experience will be vital in the absence of usual strike partner Darren Gough, who ruled himself out of the five-day series.
