Bowler James Harris hopes his England Lions call will put him in the "shop window" for senior England honours.

The Glamorgan seamer is included in the Lions' squad for their West Indies tour in January 2011 as reward for taking 63 first-class wickets last summer.

The 20-year-old hopes to show England senior selectors that he is good enough for full international consideration.

"It is something I wanted to go on," said Harris. "It puts me in the shop window to shows people what I can do."

All England Performance Programme players not included in the England one-day squad for their series in Australia have secured a place in the squad.

So Essex batsman Ravi Bopara and Yorkshire spinner Adil Rashid will join Harris while Middlesex bowler Steve Finn will undertake the first half of the tour with Chris Woakes of Warwickshire replacing him for the second half.

Harris has played two previous games for the England second string at home but this will be his first tour with the Lions.

He became the youngest Glamorgan player to take 100 first-class wickets for the county when he claimed the scalp of Phil Jacques in the victory against Worcestershire in April.

England Lions squad:
James Hildreth (c), Jimmy Adams, Jonny Bairstow, Ravi Bopara, Danny Briggs, Maurice Chambers, Jade Dernbach, Andrew Gale, James Harris, Craig Kieswetter (wk), Adam Lyth, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Ben Stokes, James Taylor, Steve Finn (first half of tour), Chris Woakes (second half of tour)
