Having survived Broad's early flurry, opener Gautam Gambhir supports fellow left-hander Yuvraj well - and even reaches his 50 quicker

Gambhir and Yuvraj thrill the crowd at the Nehru Stadium with their big hitting, adding 134 for the fourth wicket in 22 overs

Gambhir departs for 70 when he edges England captain Kevin Pietersen's off-spin onto his stumps

However, Yuvraj pushes on and reaches his second successive one-day century off 107 balls

Captain Mahendra Dhoni then departs for 15, while Yuvraj is eventually caught behind for 118

After two run-outs in successive overs, Steve Harmison bowls RP Singh to leave India 274-9 with five balls left of the innings

But Yusuf Pathan hits some lusty blows to reach 50 not out off the last ball of the innings, which helps India finish on 292-9

England make a disastrous start to their reply, with Ian Bell run out in the first over after attempting a poorly-judged single

Matt Prior and Owais Shah also ride their luck between the wickets, but put on 96 for the second wicket

But the partnership falters when both men look to be suffering in the conditions - and Shah is trapped lbw by Yuvraj's left-arm spin for 58

Prior, by now limping and batting with Bell as his runner, follows in Yuvraj's next over when he is bowled for 38 - England are 109-3

Captain Kevin Pietersen tries to force the pace with some big hits, even losing hold of his bat and having to have it returned to him

But after an encouraging stand of 74, the stuffing is knocked out of England as Andrew Flintoff and Pietersen fall in quick succession

After Yuvraj takes 4-28, Paul Collingwood is the sixth man out, to Harbhajan Singh, as England's realistic hopes of a win disappear

Stuart Broad aims a couple of lusty blows in a lost cause, and is last man out as England lose by 54 runs

But the day belongs to Yuvraj - who has starred with both bat and ball as India go 2-0 up in the seven-game series
