Collingwood faced the media after England's arrival in Melbourne

England need a a single big performance from one player if they are to end their two-month run of defeats in Australia, Paul Collingwood claims.
After an Ashes whitewash and a Twenty20 defeat, they face the hosts on Friday in the one-day opener in Melbourne.
"Sometimes it takes one big performance - a hundred or five wickets - to turn games," said batsman Collingwood.
"We were disappointed with the Test matches but we've got these one-dayers coming up so it's a new beginning."
The Commonwealth Bank Series features the hosts Australia, who have been world number one since the rankings became official, and fourth-ranked New Zealand.
Collingwood admitted that England's standing at eighth in the International Cricket Council one-day standings was merited after a string of poor results, with five wins in their last 20 games.
During that time just one batsman, Marcus Trescothick, who is currently out of the reckoning because of a stress-related illness, has hit a century.

We've just got to make sure we think up a strategy for the one-day game to try to build up for the World Cup

The bowling attack has regularly been decimated by injury and Steve Harmison is missing from this series after retiring from the one-day game to concentrate on Test cricket.
"We need a lot more hundreds from our batsmen and that's one of the keys - one of the top five or six has got to get big totals," Collingwood told BBC Radio Five Live.
"We haven't had a lot of experience in the past year or so in our attack but hopefully the guys are learning quickly."
However, captain Michael Vaughan revealed just how much work England need to do on their preparation in the wake of Tuesday's Twenty20 defeat.

"We've just got to make sure that over the next couple of days we think up a strategy for the one-day game to try to build up for the World Cup," he admitted.
"Playing the number one one-day team in the world in their own backyard is going to be pretty difficult.
"But there's no reason why we can't try to compete and try to beat them in a few of these games."
