If Giles does not play much in this series England will probably move to the next generation.
He bowls a steady line but that means he does not get many wickets, and his average shows that.
He is a great competitor, he bats and fields well and England clearly think a lot of him.
I think England will go with Panesar as their first choice spinner but Giles will come into the reckoning if Panesar is expensive.
