Jayasuriya made three low scores against Pakistan in April

Veteran opener Sanath Jayasuriya has been left out of Sri Lanka's 12 for the second Test against England at Edgbaston on Thursday.
The 36-year-old left-hander, who had announced his Test retirement, was recalled for the rest of tour by new chairman of selectors Asantha De Mel.
Jehan Mubarak has been omitted after two low scores at Lord's, but his place has been taken by Michael Vandort.
The other change for the tourists sees paceman Lasith Malinga named in the 12.
Former Sri Lanka star Aravinda de Silva had called for Jayasuriya to return and bring more experience and balance to the young team.
"Perhaps Malinga and Jayasuriya coming in could help," he said in the build-up to the second Test. "My theory would be to play the best possible side."
However, captain Mahela Jayawardene explained that to select Jayasuriya would contradict coach Tom Moody's current strategy.
"When we started this tour we decided on a youth policy and told the young guys we will give them opportunities," Jayawardene said.
"The chairman of selectors has spoken to Tom and when he sent Sanath here he told Tom he didn't have to play him, he is just another option.
"We only have four more Tests in this year and by the end of the year we should have two young guys who will open for Sri Lanka in the next five years."
Jayawardene added that the possible inclusion of the unorthodox Malinga would depend on the surface at Edgbaston.
There has been heavy rain in Birmingham in recent weeks and more is expected over the course of the match.
"Malinga does offer us something different, and variety to the attack," Jayawardene admitted.
"He has been saying he wants to have a crack at the English and we would love to give him that chance but it all depends on the combination want to play on this wicket."
